REFUND AND RETURNS POLICY

At Zarah Construction, customer satisfaction is our priority. We understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, and you may need to return or exchange an item. Our goal is to make the returns and refund process as simple as possible, while ensuring we comply with South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

Please read through our returns and refund policies carefully to understand your rights and how to proceed if you need to return an item.


1. General Return Policy:

We accept returns on most items* within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions outlined below. To ensure a smooth return process, please follow these guidelines:

  • Condition of Products: Items must be returned in unused, resellable condition and in their original packaging.
  • Return Reason: Returns are accepted for defective products, damaged items, or incorrect orders. If you simply change your mind or no longer need the item, we may not be able to offer a return unless the item is unused and still in the original packaging.
    • Consumer Protection Act (CPA): According to the CPA, you have the right to return goods within 7 days of delivery if they are not to your satisfaction or if you have simply changed your mind, provided the items are unused, and in their original packaging.

2. Returns Procedure:

To return an item, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Notify us of your intention to return an item by emailing online@zarahcon.co.za. Provide your order number, the product(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  2. Return Authorization: Once your return is approved, you will receive a Return Authorization (RA) number along with instructions on how to send the item back to us.
  3. Return Shipping: For most returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective, damaged, or we sent the wrong product. Please ensure the item is securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
    • Defective or Incorrect Items: If the return is due to a defective or incorrect item, we will cover the cost of return shipping.
  4. Processing the Return: Once the returned item is received and inspected, we will process your refund or exchange within 7 business days. The item must be in its original condition (unused and undamaged), or we may not be able to accept it for return.

3. Refund Policy:

Once your return is approved, you will receive a full refund for the returned item(s), excluding any shipping costs, if applicable. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

  • Full Refund: If your item is returned due to a defect, damage, or incorrect product, you will receive a full refund including shipping costs.
  • Partial Refund: If your return is due to a change of mind or other non-defective reason, you may receive a partial refund (excluding shipping costs).

Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to process, depending on your payment method and bank processing times.

4. Exchanges:

If you’d like to exchange an item for a different product, you can return the original item and place a new order for the item you wish to receive. Please follow the return process outlined above. Returning & New Shipping charges will be applicable.


5. Consumer Rights Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA):

In accordance with South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you have the following rights:

  • Right to Return: If the item is faulty, defective, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement.
  • Cooling-Off Period: You have the right to return products purchased online within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, provided the item is in unused condition and in the original packaging.
  • Damaged Goods: If the product arrives damaged or defective, you are entitled to either a replacement or a full refund.

6. Exclusions:

  • Custom Orders: Custom or made-to-order items cannot be returned unless they are defective or damaged upon delivery.
  • Sale Items: Discounted or sale items may be subject to different return conditions, so please check the product page for any specific return instructions.
